At the Sheraton Brussels Hotel we are committed to being green. It's part of our culture, the way we run our hotel. We believe that reducing our impact on the environment is important and will influence the way people live tomorrow.

- Usage of occupancy sensors in heart of house areas where possible

- Comprehensive preventative maintenance program
- Heart of house waste separation for outside recycling
- Collection of fluorescent lamps and batteries for outside recycling
- Landscape/grounds waste composting
- Elimination of styrofoam
- Select environmentally aware suppliers where possible
- On-stop-shop suppliers, limiting the number of deliveries
- Green Housekeeping in room recycling program for linen and towels
- Make a green choice program; allowing guests the choice to decline housekeeping
- Integrated Pest Management with least-toxic pesticide
- Hotel Green Council for associate awareness, involvement & accountability
- Associate green transportation options and cost reimbursement
For its efforts, the Sheraton Brussels Hotel has been awarded "1 star" by the Belgian label for ecodynamic enterprises.
